Parvathi, a native of Guntur with a background in fine arts, dreamed of a career in movies, but never anticipated her rise would be so swift. “Everything was very unexpected,” Parvathi shared during a recent interview with elpizo. “I was hopeful that maybe one day I could start my career as an actress.”
Having never acted professionally before, Parvathi appreciated that the filmmakers were willing to take a chance on her. “They had been searching for the right person when they came across my picture online through social media and reached out. They saw potential in me and I connected with the character on a very personal level, which felt natural.”

As a newcomer, Parvathi found the shift from modeling photoshoots to performing in front of the camera challenging. “The transition was difficult. I had to prepare mentally and physically, including taking acting classes and practicing voice modulation,” she explained. “[Acting and modelling] are not the same, even if many people draw comparisons or assume they are interchangeable.”
Parvathi also aspires to involve the international fashion community in environmental advocacy. With the global apparel industry a significant contributor to pollution, she believes there’s much that can be done to reduce fashion’s ecological impact. “I started thinking about what I could do that would have a broader impact,” she said. “There are already initiatives with major brands like Gucci supporting sustainable fashion, and organizations like Lakkars promoting eco-friendly designers and giving them visibility. It’s not just a trend—it’s about creating a genuine culture change and shifting perceptions.”

Currently, she is organizing an exhibition showcasing Indian artisans and their eco-friendly textiles, aiming to highlight traditional techniques like natural dyeing and handwoven fabrics that are sustainable. She is eager to undertake more projects aligned with her passion for eco-consciousness. “It’s thrilling to see how my life is evolving,” Parvathi remarked about her expanding portfolio. “Of course, I want to dedicate myself fully to each project, but I also love discovering new opportunities. I aim to stay inspired and maintain my curiosity, never losing the drive to make a positive impact.”
